In February 2023, fate stepped in on the first tee at TPC Scottsdale. Hayley was in Arizona visiting her brother for spring training and decided one afternoon to hop in a golf cart with her sister-in-law to enjoy watching a round of golf. That day, her brother was randomly paired with a guy named Micah—who had just moved to Scottsdale and was living on the golf course.

After the golf round, Hayley went into the gift shop to look around. Micah ended up making his way to the gift shop as well. He saw that she had a hat in her hand to buy, so he grabbed it from her, and bought it with the biggest smile on his face.

They both left, and Hayley went to get her in brother's car, where he mentioned he had gotten Micah’s info. The next day, Hayley found Micah on Instagram and sent him a picture she had taken of him while out on the course. With a few messages exchanged later...

That night, Micah was at the airport heading back to Oklahoma, going back home for his birthday. Hayley told him he should leave and come out with them instead, and he did just that—leaving his gate and showing up to the bar with his bags in hand.
